About us

The Mbira Renaissance Band is a lively musical act that will have any audience up and dancing! The group is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and band gives original flair to the rich, ancient, classical musical genre that is mbira music. Maintaining the genres’ musical traditions, the group sings primarily in the Shona language of Zimbabwe.
